Thani Illam is a heritage property in a typical Kerala
village by the banks of River Periyar. It is not a tourism
destination, though many people come to the elephant kraal
(training centre) which is 3 kms from our place.
The building is more than 150 years old
and the hosts are brahmin (Hindu). We serve only Kerala
Vegetarian food and smoking / drinking (alcohol) not
allowed.
