Alpenhorn is situated in the Upper Kiewa Valley a 40 minute
drive/ride from Falls Creek and the Bogong High Plains.
Close to many of the local tourist attractions, guests are only a short
drive/walk/ride from the Alpine National Park, six local cellar door facilities,
bush walks, mountain bike tracks, streams and lakes, fine eateries, horse riding
facilities, gliding from the Mount Beauty Air Field not to mention relaxing and
taking in the great views.
Alpenhorn is a great base to enjoy the alpine mountain roads - over the Bogong
High Plains, down to Omeo, through Dinner Plain and Mt. Hotham then into the
Ovens Valley and back to the Kiewa Valley.
Hosts, Tony & Karen, being keen riders are more than happy to point out the
other great rides that can be enjoyed in our area.
The property enjoys beautiful views of Mt Bogong, Victoria’s highest peak and
the green fields of the Kiewa Valley.
