By the Quay B&B (formerly
Rose's on Kingsway) is a older home built in 1931 which
features two b and b rooms. Each room has a queen sized bed
and a television in it. The one on the main floor has a view
of the Alberni Inlet and has a private bathroom just down
the hall. The other room is decorated in a cave theme and is
in the basement. This room has an ensuite with a large walk
in shower and a sauna.
The b and b is situated a few short blocks
away from the Lady Rose dock and the historic Alberni
Pacific train station which has a steam train that takes
passengers out to the National historic McLean Mill site. It
is close to the Capital Theatre which hosts plays and other
performances. The Rollin Arts center is just a few blocks
further up Argyle. The Rollin Arts Center has beautiful
gardens and is one of the locations chosen for summer
weddings. Rose enjoys meeting guests from around the world
and expanding her horizons by learning about their
countries. She enjoys making omelettes and other breakfast
dishes.
