We invite you to stay a
night or two, or longer, at our home set on 25 acres of
rolling, open and wooded land, located very close to the
east end of the Hockley Valley. As guests at The Farm UpCountry you will be treated as family.
Our Classic
Ontario farmhouse was built about 1900. In 1991 we added
to the rear an 1820/40 Georgian house. Both houses have
been unified and adaptively restored to the appropriate
period.
Depending on your interests and the season, you can
relax on the verandah, in the sunporch or in front of a
wood-burning fireplace. For activities you can learn
about heritage buildings, trees and forests; swim in the
stone-lined creek-fed pool, and walk our trails or in
the adjacent 50-acre County forest.
You and your family or friends, as the only party
staying, have a choice of four intimate bedrooms in the
farmhouse; Edward I has a single bed, Edward II and III
each have a double bed, and the Attic has twin beds. The
bathroom is shared.
Join us in the kitchen, next to the cookstove; in
front of the fireplace; or in the sunporch for a full
breakfast, including a choice of home-made breads. You
can arrange to have other meals with us at extra cost.
We are within driving distance of antique shops,
artisan studios, local theatres,and a variety of dining
facilities.
Our rates are $45 per person. Reservations may be
