Come and relax at Surya Pyrenees, our lovely guesthouse in the
foothills of the Pyrenees. Situated midway between Toulouse
and Andorra, on the edge of Foix, we offer the perfect base
for exploring the region, with fantastic rides along stunning
mountain roads. Easy day trips include Andorra and the Spanish
border, the medieval city of Carcassonne, and rides through
wine country to the Mediterranean. Foix itself is a lively
market town with a beautiful well-preserved castle dating from
pre-Cathar times, a good choice of restaurants, bars and
cafes, and is just a 15-minute walk away.
With lovely views of
the surrounding countryside, we offer a warm, friendly family
environment with both B&B accommodation or a self-catering
apartment that sleeps up to 7. There are two ensuite double
bedrooms and another two bedrooms which share a bathroom with
bath and shower. Guests have use of a kitchenette and
living/dining area with tv/dvd player and a huge selection of
films, and wifi access. Outside we have a beautiful swimming
pool surrounded by decking which is open May to September, a
terraced garden with hammocks and a gas BBQ – perfect for
those long summer evenings watching the sun go down.
We have
garage parking for 4 to 6 motorbikes (depending on size), plus
plenty of outside parking. There’s also a pressure cleaner
available for cleaning of bikes. We also have a selection of
maps of the area and there is a bike shop at the bottom of the
road for repairs, spares and/or information.
We provide bed
linen, towels, hairdryer and toiletries. Also laundry
facilities, luggage storage space, packed lunches and gorgeous
home-cooked meals on request.
