After a lifetime of 9 to 5’s Pat and I
escaped the rat race and opened our own B & B here at ‘La
Janais’ in the Loire Atlantique region of France. We are 2
hours ride from Saint Malo, 20kms from Chateaubriant and
only an hours ride from Le Mans. We are surrounded by
beautiful unspoilt countryside to enjoy riding our bike in
and we believe we can offer you all of the above…so why
not come and share it with us?…..whether it be for just a
night as a stop over to or from your main holiday further
afield or perhaps for longer if you want to explore this
beautiful region of France..
We have 3 B & B facilities, 2 en-suite
and the other with it’s own private bathroom just across
the hall….they are all centrally heated so an out of
season break is not a problem either.
4 course evening meals are available
using all fresh local produce, this includes a
complementary aperitif before dinner, a bottle of wine
between two and coffee afterwards and we have a licensed
bar for guests only..
And most importantly, there is safe
secure undercover parking for your bike in our barn.
Lastly, if there is just not enough room on your bike for
you and all your family members and you have to holiday in
a car, (remember, a car is the ultimate bike accessory!)
