We offer B&B accomadation, 2 gites and the campsite
which is on the grounds of our 16th century manor.
A
small rural site with 12 pitches located on the
outskirts of a small village - Monsireigne. It has
all modern facilities (shower block and swimming
pool new since 2007).
The village of Monsireigne has
a pharmacie, post office and small shop. The nearest
Hypermarket is in the town of Chantonnay - 12kms.
We
are located 20 mins off the A83. Why not use as a
stopover on your way south.
We can provide you with
the facilities to enjoy the traditional french games
of boules and palet. Enjoy our gamesroom where you
can play chess, darts, ping-pong. From time to time
games/competitions are organised for and by our
friendly caravaners.
Fishing is a major pastime in
the Vendee, where man-made lakes have been built specificially for fishing or try your handicap on
one of the 5 golf courses in the region, seldom
crowded and fees are very reasonable.
For local
dining, there are 2 wonderful restuarants close by.
One overlooks the Lac de Rochereau and has
breathtaking scenery, the other, a watermill with
charming character less than 5 mins drive.There are
many activities for all age groups,The most popular
theme park being the Grande Parc Puy du Fou (set in
thousands of acres of parkland). Immerse yourself in
the spectacle of the gladiatorial arena – complete
with chariots, lions, Christians, and a Caesar.
Watch in awe the amazing falconry in the magical
medieval chateau. Where Vikings battle and
musketeers display their swordsmanship, and wonder
at some of the most ingenious special effects ever
seen. Or watch the evening performance of the
Cinescenie – where over 3,000 locals put on a show
complete with firework display never to be forgotten
and all just 20 minutes drive away - museums,
chateaux, cyclepaths, windsurfing and wine tasting.
The Vendee area has a unique micro climate, being
the second sunniest sector in France, which means
you get as much sunshine as the sunny south. There
are 140kms of beautiful sandy beaches all within 1
hour drive from us and are considered to be the best
in Europe.
