
This beautiful traditional mountain style chalet was constructed 3 years
ago and is situated just above Chantemerle in the Serre Chevalier
valley, only 4 kilometres from the UNESCO listed old wall city of
Briancon.
The region has an excellent weather record and provides a
whole range of summer activities including hiking, swimming rafting,
canoeing, tennis and horse riding.
Bikers can enjoy this beautiful
location either as a convienient stop over en route to the Cote d’Azur
via the famous Route Napoleon or, as a base to explore the Southern Alps
and nearby Col du Lauteret, Col de Galibier, Col d’Izoard and the Col du
Mongenevre which borders Italy. Jane & Alec, the owners provide bed &
breakfast and, as an option a 4 course evening meal with wine.

The
Chalet has a top floor with 1 double room and 2 twin rooms, sleeping up
to 6/7 people. One of the twins can take a ‘Z’ bed. Each room has
bathrobes and hairdryers. There is one bathroom with bath and shower
which leads to a separate toilet, and a second bathroom with shower room
with toilet.
The owners live below the ground floor giving exclusive use
of bathrooms to the guests. The ground floor has a large living room,
dining area with spectacular views in both directions of the Serre
Chevalier valley. In the centre of the room there is large wood burner,
a TV (UK Satellite freeview) and a DVD player, DVD’s, books and games.
Outside there is garden furniture and a large secured garage for bikes
and equipment.
A workbench tools and bike washing facilities are
available if needed. The chalet is off the road in a cul de sac.
