Le Vieux Chêne is a 400 year old Gascon farmhouse that has
recently been restored by Mark and Merryn. It is situated amongst the rolling
hills of the Tarn and Garonne, and within easy access to Andorra - the Pyrenees
- Narbonne and the Mediterranean, Biarritz and the Atlantic ocean, as well as
the fabulous valleys of the Lot and Dordogne.
There are 5 en-suite bedrooms with their own private entrance,
and continental breakfast is provided every day. A traditional Gascon evening
meal is served on request either in our "Grand Salon" on on the terrace when the
weather is hot!
Our large secluded swimming pool is available from April to
the end of October! It is covered by an "abrisud" every night which extends the
swimming period by a month either side of the season. The "Grand Salon" has an
8x4 snooker table, darts, and satellite TV, and an excellent sound system! The
recently built garage can house at least a dozen bikes with ample storage space
for paniers etc.
The Midi Pyrenees has magnificent tarmac for all bikers, We ride nearly 15000
miles every year in the area on our bike! Come and see!
Le Vieux Chêne est une vieille ferme gasconne de 400 ans située parmi de vieux
chênes avec une superbe vue sur les collines environnantes. Toulouse est au Sud
à 45 minutes, - Narbonne et la Méditerranée sont à moins de 2 heures. Andorra et
les Pyrénées sont au pied de notre porte. Il y a 5 chambres en suite et
possèdent leur propre entrée privative, indépendante de celle de la ferme, et le
petit déjeuner est servi tous les jours. Un repas gasconne est servi du soir.
Nous avons une grande piscine avec terrasse isolée. C'est possible à baigner
d'Avril jusqu'à Octobre parce que notre abrisud reste chaque nuit à garder l'eau
chaud!!
Il y a grand billiard, jeux de fléchettes professionnels, télé
par satellite, un endroit de détente dans notre grand salon.
