Our character home is set in a quiet
location with park like gardens overlooking the Hokitika
River. Enjoy the uninterrupted tranquil river and mountain
views. Step onto the riverbank from the bottom of the garden
and fish anytime of the day. In the evening, you can stroll
through the bush to our own glow-worm grotto.
Our double room has ensuite bathroom and
doors to a veranda; the twin has 2 single beds and a private
bathroom. Our lounge is warm and friendly with a sunny
veranda over looking the river.
We have plentiful safe off-street parking
with garaging for bikes. A cooked or continental breakfast
is included in tariff. There is free email available.
Riverside Villa is an ideal base for sight
seeing on the West Coast. We are centrally located for day
trips to the Glaciers to the south, Punakaiki and Shantytown
to the north. Christchurch is only three and a half hours
away over the scenic Arthur’s Pass.
Local attractions include the Hokitika
Gorge, beautiful lakes, walkways and our wild west coast
beach. We are only 7 minutes from an excellent range of
craft shops and restaurants in Hokitika and 10 minutes walk
from the “Woody” pub (often with live music) and site of the
annual Woodstock Rally
