Menteith named after an ancient Scottish Graham clan, nestles among
mature trees with great views of hills and mountains. Awake to morning
birdsong from your warm spacious room or catch the world's news on your
in-room TV while sipping your morning tea or coffee.
In summer a pre-breakfast swim invigorates the body
before a day of adventure exploring Christchurch, Akaroa or a return
journey across the Alps by train. While enjoying your hearty breakfast
in our sunny dining room, Stephen will enlighten you on the specialty
honeys produced by the family while you savour the flavours. Fay is an
avid spinner of differing fibres and is happy to demonstrate her craft-
you are very welcome to try your hand!
Our Port Hills room with its magical view from the
queen sized bed collects the morning sun while the Copland and Elie
rooms with flexible king or twin beds look out onto the garden. Ensuite
bathrooms are a feature of each room, equipped with many items to pamper
you hairdryers, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, thick fluffy
towels and face cloths. Central heating and electric blankets ensure you
are warm even in the winter and robes and slippers are provided for use
to the pool. Complimentary laundry and email facilities. After a life in
tourism mainly at Franz Josef Glacier, our retirement interests include
