Bring your
own bike or fly in and use one of ours. There is a large
secure garage for bike parking along with further
exterior safe parking for vans/cars. Maintenance
equipment (incl bike ramp), bike wash, luggage storage
and drying area (rarely needed) are all available FOC.
The owner is an ex BSB, WSB team mechanic and is always
on hand to assist when required.
The villa has it`s own
private pool with a large outside entertainment area
which consists of barbeque and pizza oven. Guests have
the full use of all of the houses facilities.
All rooms
have south facing rooms looking out over Portimao
marina. Based in Ferragudo a traditional Portuguese
fishing village on the mouth of the River Arade and
within easy reach of Portimao and Praia da Rocha
beaches.
Ideally situated for touring the quiet twisty
roads of the Monchique Mountains and outwards towards
the Spanish border; cruise the coastal roads and ride to
Sagres (the south western tip of Europe). Or why not
stay a little longer and combine a biking holiday with a
pool/beach holiday.
Off road biking, deep water fishing,
quad biking can be arranged with prior notice.
Only 45km
from Faro airport. Faro is also known for its love of
motorcycling. Faro plays host to a renowned motorcycle
rally each year in late June/early July, which is
amongst Europes largest of its kind and is known as the
Rallye Biker seeing a parade of motorbikes riding
throught the streets.
Motorsporting events are regular
in the area, from F1 Powerboats, Endurance Jetbikes in
Portimao Marina, to WSB, WTCC, A1GP and Historic Racing
which all take place at the nearby Autodromo
Internacional do Algarve (Parkalgar Race Circuit).
