Close to Bath in the beautiful Wiltshire village of Box with it's varied pubs providing a great choice for evening meals.

Lorne House is a Victorian villa, the childhood home of The Rev. Awdry of Thomas the Tank Engine fame,now beautifully restored to a standard that offers 5 star comfort and quality at 4 star prices.

5 double/twin rooms all with ensuite wet- rooms,1 with extra beds offering family accomodation if required.
Traditional English breakfast, where possible using local produce.

Local attractions include the National Trust villages of Lacock with it's beautiful Abbey used in the Harry Potter films, Castle Combe & Avebury with it's famous stone circle, not forgetting Bath with it's many historic attractions.

Built in 1876, this AA & Visit Britain 4 star approved, Victorian guest house, offers warm and friendly bed and breakfast accommodation, close to all of Bath's major attractions such as the Royal Crescent,Circus,Assembly Rooms, Roman Bath's, Guildhall and the New Thermae Spas, are all no more than 5 - 15 minutes level walk from our Guest House.

Owned and operated by Peter Moore in a relaxed and informal style. All rooms are spacious, with either super king size beds, antique four poster, or antique wrought iron king size beds. Most can be made into twin beds.
All rooms are fully en-suite equipped with private wc, shower/bath and washbasin and complementary organic toiletries, hair driers and towels. Hostess tray of organic teas and coffees is provided together with a decanter with a drop of sherry for your nightcap. Flat screen TV's with freeview channels and free wifi.

Our rates are inclusive of breakfast which are generous, healthy and organic. Free parking for the bikes available in the forecourt of Marlborough House.

Special discounts are available for stays of 2-3 nights or more. 2 night minimum stay required when booking a Saturday. Either Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday. Weekends @ Marlborough House tend to book out quite quickly and in advance too.
