Bank House is an elegant listed Georgian house in the
village of Colinton, 3 miles south west of Edinburgh city
centre. The house enjoys a secluded position in its own
walled garden up a private drive.
There
are three double bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom with
bath and/or shower, cable televisions and DVDs. Whilst the
facilities are modern, many of the original features have
been retained.
I have
the Scottish Tourist Board Excellent Quality Award of Four
Stars.
You
can relax in the original drawing room with open fire and
views of the lovely gardens. Breakfast is taken in the
spacious dining room with its period features.

Bank House is ideally situated as a base for sightseeing in
the City as well as touring Scotland. I am only minutes from
the City Bypass and motorways and for exploring Edinburgh,
guests could leave their bikes in the private parking area
within the grounds and take the excellent bus service in the
centre (a 15 minute journey).
Bikes
can be parked in front of the house (out of sight from the
road), in a covered area or garaged and trailers can also be
accommodated in the yard.
Edinburgh is an ideal base for discovering Scotland, its
history and scenery. The Borders, Fife and St. Andrews,
Glasgow, the West Coast and the Highlands are within a day's
drive. There are also plenty of good eating places locally
and in Edinburgh.
No Smoking on premises
