Our accommodation consists of a beautiful double bedroom, a newly renovated twin room and a gorgeous family room overlooking the garden.

We are situated within the 'Oldey-worldy' village of Simonburn which you may recognise from the Catherine Cookson films.

We have secure storage for bikes and walking equipment and are on route to Hadrian's wall.

We are fully licensed and also provide evening meals by request. If you decide to eat out we can recommend other eating establishments in the area.

We are an information point for the Northumberland National Park and provide free brochures and maps.

We are centrally located with a 20 minute drive to both Hexham and Corbridge, with Bellingham to the West.

Lovely country inn in the heart of rural Northumberland. Situated on one of the most picturesque roads in the UK, the A686, the Elks Head is midway between Alston in Cumbria and Haydon Bridge & Hexham in Northumberland. It is one of the most famous routes for motorcyclists. A great place to stop on the way to/from Scotland.

There are 10 newly refurbished bedrooms (9 of them ensuite). Relaxing bar and restaurant serving quality homecooked food. Local real ales and fine wines to compliment.

We have drying facilities and a secure parking area for bikes.
