Unst chalet is situated
in a beautiful location in the corner of Inverkirkaig bay,
about 20 metres from the waters edge. The coastal village
of Inverkirkaig is set in the county of Sutherland, a
lovely and unspoilt part of the N.W. Scottish highlands.
N.West Scotland has some
of the best biking roads in the whole of the UK and we are
a biking family, which is why this bit is here. To

some fantastic biking roads up to the Chalet.
We try and travel up to
the chalet on our bikes rather than the car because as a
base location for touring, N.W. Sutherland has few equals.
At times we have travelled directly to Inverkirkaig and at
others, we have gone 'walkabout' on the way, passing
through some of the most impressive
and majestic landscapes to be found anywhere in the UK, stopping
over at the places described and making the 'getting
there' part of our holiday.
After you get there,
try a day trip down to Applecross from the chalet and you
will see just exactly what we mean.
It doesn't matter whether
you just want to bimble along taking in the surroundings
or enjoy fantastic ride-outs and explore the region, there
is something here for every sort of biker. The sense of
freedom that every biker understands, and the uncrowded
open road stretching out in front of you, means that each
and every trip is an adventure that you don't want to
end.
