Neil and the Team welcome you to Rosegarth in tranquil
Ravenglass, an ancient village built on the site of Glannaventa, a
Roman fort and port.
Rosegarth overlooks the beautiful river estuary,
and for several generations was the local Doctor’s home and
practice. The building retains many original features from the
Victorian era and offers visitors a friendly and comfortable base
from which to explore the wonderful corner of the Lake District.
Escape the “Holidaying Hordes” of crawling
sightseers in the East Lakes and base yourself in Ravenglass. We are
situated on the West Coast but still within the National Park; our
roads are much quieter and the riding better. Take on the technical
challenges of Hardknott and Wrynose, enjoy the solitude and empty
roads of Dunnerdale, Ennerdale and Loweswater; visit Wasdale and
gaze on Wastwater, home to Wasdale Head, Britain’s Favourite View.
A Biker for all of my life, I have a Harley; somebody has to! I can
advise on routes, sights etc.
Ravenglass is small but we do have 2 pubs that do
good value for money evening meals and a hotel for the posher nosh.
Rosegarth offers Visit Britain 4* accommodation
with a mix of double, twin and single rooms all with en-suite and
wifi.
There is limited garaged parking and private off
road parking, drying facilities, plenty of secure storage space for
gear/luggage and a warm welcome.
Ride Safe, and no matter where you live or are
based, just have a ride-out to Ravenglass, it really is one of
Lakeland’s hidden gems.
