An
attractive, traditional detached Lakeland stone house built in
1881.
Situated in a quiet area
within easy walking distance of Windemere village centre,
Bowness and Lake Windermere. A short ride takes you to the
neighbouring villages of Ambleside and Grasmere, which are set
in the heart of 'Wordsworth' Country. Or across the lake by
ferry brings you to Sawrey, the home of Beatrix Potter, whose
house 'HillTop' is now owned by the National Trust and open to
the public.
I have two bikes myself
and know all the best roads - plenty of twisties and great
scenery around the lake and around the area - also the route
as the 'A.A.' describes 'The Worlds most scenic drive' (made
for bikes) about 4-6 hour ride.
