Located on the NW edge of historic Nebraska City, Whispering Pines B&B is a Victorian Era Farmhouse that sits on 6 secluded acres of water and flower gardens. The wraparound veranda, all season hot tub and hammock are just a few of the extras most visiting travelers find easy to enjoy. It’s been updated to include modern conveniences, yet filled with antiques. You are welcomed first with homemade chocolate chip cookies, then a seasonal beverage and of course, all the comforts of home. Choose from 5 rooms, each with its own personality, all with private baths inclusive of robes, towels and basic toiletries. You’ll find refrigerators with bottled water in all rooms, TV w/cable in some and Wi-Fi across most of the 6 acres. The off-road parking is under lighted trees, next to the garage. Plenty of storage space for luggage in the garages. There is a hose available for washing your bike, along with sponges and buckets. You are welcome to use the laundry facilities here on-site or those nearby. Just two blocks from Arbor Lodge State Historic Park and 12 blocks from downtown and local restaurants, you’ll find there are many attractions and sites for exploring. South East Nebraska provides many rolling hills and excellent biking terrain. Your innkeeper, Jeanna, is happy to play concierge, offer you suggestions and maps or just directions to set you out on an adventure – whichever you prefer! A full gourmet breakfast is included in your stay, featuring a main course, homemade pastries, juice, coffee and fruit. Additional dining services, such as on-site (or to-go) picnic lunches or dinners, are available with advanced reservations. Farm fresh eggs and local produce are used whenever available.
